Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth (HC)

Entertainment Weekly gives it an A+ and says it's the best-looking book of the year, and they're right, goddamn it. It's also probably the best deal of the year: 380 pp. in full color, with a dustjacket that folds out into a two-sized full-color formalistic marvel of a comic strip (it wraps over every edge from side to side) as well as one of Ware's cut-out toys, this time a 3-D Jimmy Corrigan figure. The book reprints the Jimmy Corrigan chapters from ACME Novelty Librarys 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11-14, as well a short story from ACME #1, but also includes a brilliant new design from Ware with copious notes, ephemera, and apologies.
