Hawkman has returned and he's been slowly revisiting elements of his previous life, including reconnecting with old friends like The Atom and with his son, Hector, who now wears the mantle of Dr. Fate. Hawkgirl, though, digs deeper into her own past, which leads her to the grisly truth behind her parents' deaths. Now she wants revenge, and it falls to Hawkman to keep her from committing cold-blooded murder.

Along the way, they encounter an old foe - the Gentleman Ghost - and reexperience even older incarnations of themselves as gunslingers in the Old West - Nighthawk and Cinnamon!
