Poison Ivy is being rehabilitated in Arkham Asylum under the care of a new therapist who believes that allowing her to grow plants under strict supervision might benefit both her and mankind.

But the light for her seedlings is cut off by the rise of a giant skyscraper, a tower so big it threatens to keep Arkham - and Gotham City - in permanent shadow.

Immediately, financiers and builders go mad and try to take their own lives after being infected with a new toxin. Could there be a connection? And is Poison Ivy the "root" cause or the cure?

Batman had better find out which, and soon, or he will succumb to the toxin himself!
