At least, that's what Supergirl hopes following her disastrous, casualty-laden confrontation in Metropolis with the fierce Apokoliptian female called Maelstrom. Unable to console his distraught cousin, Superman employs a "tough love" approach, escorting Kara Zor-El to a distant planet inhabited by poisonous vegetation and hostile life forms. There, rendered powerless under the rays of an orbiting red sun, the Last Son and Daughter of Krypton struggle to endure a week of adverse planetary conditions ... and unpleasant self-discoveries.
