That really weird December of 1976 gives way to January of 1977 when Dave Sim finally gets around to creating a cover illustration, logo and cartoon mascot for his girlfriend's fiction zine Cerebus while most of his attention is devoted to trying to figure out how to make his weekly comic strip, THE BEAVERS, a Canadian pop culture phenomenon while drawing and lettering stories for the then new Indy Comics market.
Reprints John David Cothran's "Hobo Dreamer" with art by Gene Day and lettering by Dave Sim and Charlie Thompson's "The Captain and the Sorcerer".
